Handcarved on the west coast of Ireland.
Meaning of Symbol: it represents the eternal life as we contemplate the infinite cycles of birth and rebirth in both physical and ethereal realms.
Bog yew comes from ancient forests that once covered Ireland. Huge trees have been buried in peat bogs and preserved from decay by the acidic and anaerobic bog conditions, sometimes for hundreds or even thousands of years.
This 6000 year old Irish bog yew Celtic trinity necklace is made by Juliette, who is the Woman behind Fretmajic. She has her studio in the West of Ireland.
Unique Hand-carved Celtic Wooden Jewellery
Celtic mythology and nature are the primary sources of inspiration for Juliette's work. The stunning landscape of Connemara featuring native woodlands, ringforts and dolmens and of course the ancient bogs of Ireland all provide the physical and symbolic raw materials for her handcrafted pieces. She also hand carves her jewellery from exquisite old woods recycled from musical instruments.
